PM Series

The multiple feeder type PM is applied when a line of machine hoppers is charged with the same material mix. Owing to the fact that only one motor is used, this variant of feeder is very energy-efficient.

Field of application

Feeders of the PM Series are used to supply a line of machine hoppers, provided that all machines process the same material and the hoppers are in a row. These conditions are mostly found in extrusion plants where different profiles are made from the same material (e.g. window profiles, tubes). The same technique can also be used as a collecting feeder with multiple inlets to combine several silos.


Owing to the fact that only one motor is used to supply several machines with material, this feeder variant works very energy-saving. In addition to this, the spiral mixes the material continuously through the whole conveying path. Even on long distances a separation is not possible.

In connection with the dust-free feeding characteristics of the spiral conveyors, this technique is now established as the standard solution in any production where PVC-powders are used.


The spiral transports the material to the first outlet and fills the machine hopper. When the hopper is full the material is transported further on, so the next hopper can be filled. This continues until all hoppers are full and the feeder stops. As soon as a level indicator sends an alert that material is required in one hopper, the feeder starts time-delayed and fills all hoppers.

If one machine shall be excluded from the process, just close the shut-off valve. The electrical interlock is automatically effected by the level indicators.
