Field of application

The pellet conveyor of the PH series has been specially designed to meet the requirements for the transport of wood pellets in a home heating system. Our goal was to make industrial spiral conveyor technology affordable for consumers. The conveyor transports the wood pellets from a hopper to the feed bin of the burner. Several intermediate inlets can be installed in line to charge pellets from a longer bunker. The feeder can be controlled by either the optional solution “FUMZ” or by using the control unit which is integrated into the burner.

Advantages

The advantage of the pellet feeder type PH when compared with a rigid screw lies in the flexibility of the spiral conveyor. The use of a flexible tube makes it easy to install the feeder around obstacles. The advantage of the silent operation compared to pneumatic systems with vacuum- or blower units is obvious.

Specifications

A spiral transports the pellets inside a flexible tube from inlet to outlet. Several inlets can be installed in a row to feed all pellets from an elongated bunker. The conveyor can either be operated from the burner (if a feeding system was planned) or from the compact solution “FUMZ”.

The optimum speed and maximum length of 10 meters for the transport of wood pellets was established by tim plast in extensive tests.

Of course, for higher throughput and bigger applications (eg larger heat systems), the feeders of the PC Series are suitable.
